Gym

Children are already natural born Gymnasts, so why not help them improve their skills?

All our clubs provide a safe, friendly environment with professional coaches to help your children learn.

Our qualified staff will teach your children important skills like balance and co-ordination, spatial awareness, flexibility and movement with expert supervision and a playful environment. It’s a great way for them to have fun and lay the foundations of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Foundation and Reception
Children who attend gymnastic classes at an early age can experiment with movement which could help improve Co-ordination. They also work together on building confidence and social skills. Children will be encouraged to perform basic gymnastic actions like travelling, rolling, jumping and to make up simple movement phrases in response to simple tasks.

Key Stage One
At this stage children are encouraged to perform a variety of rolls with increasing control. Children begin to work together in groups thus developing their social and communication skills. They will be encouraged to use and vary simple compositional ideas to create and perform a sequence.

Key stage two
By building on what they have already experienced, children are able to create sequences that explore a range of rolls (forward rolls, backwards roll, shoulder roll etc…) and movement showing contrasts in speed, levels, and direction either individually or as part of a wider team.

Clubs
We also offer breakfast, lunchtime and after school gymnastics clubs from foundation year children up to year 6. During this time children can learn a variety of balances, rolls and tricks including handstands, headstands, shoulder stands, forward roll, backwards roll, shoulder roll, Cartwheels etc … working as part of a team or individually creating sequences.

Children will also have the opportunity to take part in different types of performances like Festivals, Competitions, Sharing’s and Displays
